The Emotions of Design

What I hear time and time again whenever a client describe their home and what they love most, trends are rarely brought up in conversation. People talk about how the space makes them feel - welcoming, comfortable, collected, and overall personal. A true reflection encompasses oneself, their family, travels, hobbies, collectables - or as I like it put it, their own story. It’s those pieces I hear from clients about what they enjoy, who they are, what they love, that truly helps to become reflective when designing their home. It’s about creating a feeling through the thoughtful balance of classic forms, and a fresh modern perspective, to make a home feel timeless and current.

It sounds so woo woo that there an emotional component to design, but there truly is. A space in which you enjoy the design and the design is cohesive, curated and reflective of the family creates a level of comfortability. Your home is your most personal space and at times on display, its an environment in which you spend with your loved ones for holidays, create memories, and relax in.

Maybe the most timeless and fresh take on your home is the emotion your home provides to you.
